About · Robert Carey

Your emails should sound like you.Not a robot wearing your name badge.

I’m Robert Carey. For 25 years I’ve made email sell. Now I make AI do it in your voice — not the polite, damp sludge filling everyone else’s inbox.

Open your inbox. Go on. Half of it now reads like it came from the same helpful, slightly damp machine. Fluent. Confident. Forgettable. You can smell the AI on it before you’ve finished the first line.

Here’s what nobody tells you: getting AI to write an email is easy. A child can do it. The hard part — the only part that matters — is getting it to sound like a person. Like you. Your phrasing, your daft stories, your way of landing a point. That’s the bit I’ve cracked.

Anyone can make AI write. Almost no one can make it sound human.

Who I am, quickly.

I’m Robert Carey. Roberto, if we’ve met. I’ve been doing email since 1998 — before Google, before “responsive design” meant anything but someone actually writing back.

I ran email for a high street retailer, moving half a million pounds of goods. Every. Single. Day. I ran it for a gambling firm turning over a million a month in profit — a grubby industry, but it taught me more about why people buy than any course could. And I spent years inside an affiliate platform, watching thousands of hopeful people sign up, do nothing, and quietly vanish. That one stuck.

Why this matters now.

The machine doesn’t know what good is. Ask it to write your emails and it’ll cheerfully invent a testimonial, manufacture a deadline, and bolt a story onto every send until your readers can see you coming a mile off.

It generates. It never refuses. It has no idea what good is.

I do. So I built the judgment in — the handful of things to always do, and the long list of things to never do — and taught the machine to obey. The AI does the typing. Twenty-five years does the deciding.

I’ve a philosophy degree, which is mostly why I’ve never had a proper job. But it left me one useful habit: I see the logic under a thing. Why one email moves someone and the next slides past. I’m no wordsmith, and I won’t pretend to be — the machine handles the words. I handle the why.

That habit never switched off. I also write philosophy these days — a book on what reality is actually made of, called The Rational God. Different subject, same discipline: follow the logic all the way down without flinching. There’s a separate sign-up for it on the site, if that’s your sort of thing.

What I won’t do.

Sell you sizzle with no steak. Twist your arm. Bury you in fake countdowns. I live in Southeast Asia, semi-retired, and the pension covers the bills — so I’ve no reason to push you anything that doesn’t work. Love me or hate me. Just don’t let a robot write your emails.

I put the whole method into a free playbook — the one I’d hand a mate. It turns your voice, your stories and your offer into a sales letter, a welcome sequence and an email engine that runs as long as you do. All on a free AI tool. No card, no catch.

Have a poke about. If it’s not for you, no harm done — I’ll still be here tomorrow.
